Here is something that is indeed incredibly embarrassing and sad.

The following is an embarrassing and sad admission by a Trinitarian.

"(Matt. 28:19) does not claim to be a
statement of the historic Jesus and
represents an addition made by the early
church after his death. Similarly, the
references to Father, Son and Holy Spirit
in the Fourth Gospel
were NOT spoken by Jesus."

So....who are the "We" and what are your credentials for textual criticism? What Manuscripts are this work based on?

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Would you please actually post this from The Catholic Encyclopedia, II, page 263? I've seen this claim being made, but I've never seen the actual verbiage where the roman catholic church wrote to change the baptismal formula.

Thanks.

This quote comes from the Search For Truth Teachers Manual, I bet. A highly credible source.

I have heard it similarly preached in this same manner before.
