Re: Mark of the Beast may be only 2 1/2 years away

Awhile back, I had asked where all the apostolics went? There used to be HUNDREDS of apostolics just on this forum alone at pretty much any time day or night. There were other forums as well (remember Higher Fire, or whatever it was called?) that also had hundreds and sometimes thousands of apostolics discussing various things.

But over time they all dried up. There has been for YEARS practically NOTHING online as far as apostolic discussion forums, boards, chatrooms, etc. It's as if 99.999% of apostolics just got off the internet altogether, all at pretty much the same time.

Anyways, I was told "they all went to facebook". Facebook was the new thing that had apparently supplanted all the old discussion boards and forums.

So, I visited facebook a few minutes ago. I searched for apostolic pentecostal groups. I found numerous churches that have their own facebook pages (to be expected), and a bunch of groups. Most of these groups haven't made a single post in several years. There were four or five I found that had recent posts, but apparently they are all run by the same person and are just duplicating posts.

Meanwhile, on these facebook groups, it's all nothing but meme pictures with pithy little quotes and cute sceneries. ZERO "discussion" of anything. I was never sure how facebook could process "discussions" anyway since the format just doesn't seem suited to it.

So where'd they all go? Twitter obviously is not the place for in depth discussion of anything. Instagram, tiktok, snapchat, etc are also simply not designed for any kind of discussions, they are all for sound bites and memes. Did I miss the rapture or something?

Re: Mark of the Beast may be only 2 1/2 years away

They don’t care for being proven wrong on things in discussions, so it’s “easier” to just hit the road?

I’d like to know the answer as well…
For me, I like to watch the discussions mostly, it takes me FOREVER to type anything out.

The question is, are each of these judgments talking about the same thing, and when did/does it take place.

Revelation 20:11-15

Hebrews 9:27

I mean there were a ton of people debating everything under the sun (especially standards and eschatology). They all seem to have disappeared. I guess they just got tired? And newer apostolics don't have the time or inclination?

It just seems weird to me. I think brother Benincasa may be on to something when he mentions "the algorithm". Makes me think of the "holonet" theory, aka "dead internet theory", the idea that everybody who goes online is actually in an artificially controlled internet bubble that they are led to believe is "the whole big internet", but it's really just a containment suite for them. Everybody is in their own bubble, managed by some super computer server farm run by the DOD or the NSA or whoever.

Pretty much AOL, in fact.

The Internet was a bullet to many different religious communities. What happens to these groups (as was apparent on the first FCF) is that most of the guys and gals can't handle these types of discussion. People were banned just for having another view of eschatology. One has to keep in mind that Apostolic Pentecostal movement is basically Jesus went away, He came remotely on the day of Pentecost, and will return physically some day in some future. But He is coming back. Also we will be taken out of here before anything really bad happens. Also Jewish people no matter how they feel about Jesus Christ are Jesus' favorite. Those are cardinal rules. I remember brothers having problems with post tribulation (of any flavor) it was a real deal breaker if you believed Matthew 24:29-30 as it is written to mean Jesus' return was after the tribulation. Yet, we would be scolded and told that was just when He returned with the raptured saints to save His true beloved Israel.

If you believe the above (you don't even have to know how to explain it) you will be home coming queen. Like Sister Alvear's drive by shooting post which comments "I know He is coming back!" You will be able to keep the cards and letters coming into your mailbox. Listen, to be "Apostolic" all you need to do is tongue talking, Jesus is God, Baptism in water in the name of Jesus, and Jesus went away and returned. It's the explaining of those items which make some people run for the hills. We still have people viewing these posts and some are bots, but a lot are Apostolics. Most of our brethren don't want to ask questions of strangers on forums. They have also noted some of the hair pulling contests out in the public arena and steer clear. Just wanting to sit back and learn what they can glean. There are those who hear anything other than what their pastor or elders have taught as verboten. So, even if Jesus preached and David played his harp, they still would get up and leave.
When we first started the Internet social media was brand new, and we (as Apostolic Pentecostals) were just learning to navigate the terrain. Another thing we have to keep in mind is how the algorithm hides and directs this channel.

False, the Apostles always looked forward to Jesus glorious return in the future. Apostolic means you also await his future return of Christ.

If you are not waiting for Him, you are not Apostolic.

So you are part of this discussion now?

I would like to add,

Mark 16:17-18
"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In may name shall they cast out devils, they shall speak with new tongues;
v18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lays hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

If these signs are not following you, you're not even a believer.

John 4:8
"He that loveth not knowers not God, for God is love."

No Love means, you're not apostolic.
