Daniel has continually tried to spin this as simply honest doubt, expressed in general.
He has quoted the Scripture "I believe...help thou mine unbelief," as if this post was comparable.
I submit that it is not.
This is not simply a general expression of skepticism in charlatans and crooks and religious hucksters. We are all disgusted by those.
This is a direct accusation against a specific testimony by a respected man of God about a service that happened at the local ssembly he pastors. It is an accusation against a specific evangelist whose name has been mentioned.
Read this statement:
"be that as it may I sense something in Denmark and it ain't pretty."
What we have here is a poster claiming to have discerned something--claiming divine revelation. He has, according to his own report, the gift of discernment. Those of you who know me know that I am not given to rash, radical statements.
But the more I think about this, the more it bothers me.
This needs to be addressed in a decisive and very pointed way by admin, or I am going to have to very seriously rethink whether I want to participate in this forum any longer.
This goes far beyond some of the things that others have been banned for, and I am very much offended by it.
If we are going to allow posters to blatantly accuse respected men of God of chicanery and lying, then look for me to bow out.
Steadfast has too much class to push this, and he has not asked me to make an issue of it. In fact, I don't think we have even discussed it.
But I believe this is a hill to die on...
There you have it.

Phil, this is beyond just the kind of banter we don't pay much attention to around here.
This is an accusation against specific men whose names are known, and a very serious accusation at that. One that could hurt this evangelist if anyone were to believe it and pass it on.
This needs to be dealt with, and decisively.
The direction leadership takes during stuations like this is indicative of future direction.
This is a fork in the road here.
is this an Apostolic forum, or is it going to be a place where men of God can be called snake oil salesmen?

Being an Oklahoma boy, I expressed that were he to say something like this about me to my face there would probably be an invitation for an outdoor picnic... knuckle sandwiches being the main course... except for the restraint of the Holy Ghost of course and I am not sure he wouldn't let his grip slip for at least one sandwich.
I have been appalled by the comments and I have aggressively opposed the statements. It grieves the Holy Ghost in me.

Lying is very, very repugnant, a deed and spirit which I hate with utmost passion.
Calling men of God "liars" seem to be fashionable around here. I am sorry for this sad state of affairs. My heart hangs heavy from it. Yes, I come very near quitting very recently after having been called a liar too. In fact, I am still thinking about it. This might just be the right time to do it, in solidarity with Coonskinner and bro. Jones too.

I'm not trying to start a movement, Elder, but if this is going to be tolerated, I am out.

I agree with you there 100% Bro! My husband and I just read thru most of this thread and it is sickening! I have never met Bro Steadfast, but I know his reputation and I know those whom he associates and I have to say I know he is a very respectable man of God and I have heard the ministry of the mentioned evangelist many times and the same goes with him. This is wrong and shouldnt be tolerated. If I remember correctly we recieved an email a while back letting it be known that this was an APOSTOLIC forum. Yet I do not know of a single apostolic preacher/minister/pastor who would let this kind of conduct reign on their forum/place of fellowship. This needs to be delt with and soon! Its sickening!!!!
These are 2 lines I copied out of that email
# We want a place where ministry is not being belittled or degraded.
# We want a place where the members on this forum are not insulted or degraded.

Sister,
The offensive comments were not general; they were directed specifically at two well respected men of God.
I do not know Brother Guy, but Steadfast I do know and trust.
SOmething is rotten in Denmark all right, but it isn't coming out of that revival.

If all you have is this statement about Denmark then WOW!!!! Surely expressing doubt is now akin to accusing someone of lying.
Is it me but only men like Falwell, the Bishop of Cogic, and TBN and NCO crowd are susceptible to doubts and questioning....
This issue is about friends and perceptions .... NO ONE HAS BEEN CALLED A LIAR .... generalizations abound in this thread ... and a true failure to compartmentalize ...
Once again ... I don't doubt this report but if we cannot express doubts here .... then we need to examine other threads where they have been expressed.
Keep your hill.

Oh, I know you were agreeing with me.
I was reiterating the points of contention.
