LOL! I read on Twitter earlier this morning, that they were going to delay the verdict until church because that is where all the rioters SHOULD be.

They may be weighing whether self-defense can be linked in any way to manslaughter. Just a possibility. Or, from what I understand, they weren't informed as to the time limits set for manslaughter.

I am understanding that if the jury has rejected justifiable self-defense, that is probably why they are asking about manslaughter.

Not necessarily, may just going down the line, eliminating 2nd degree, now looking at manslaughter, and then self-defense.
