Re: My Signature Diagram

How about we draw a circle, write G o d in it, the to the side, write

Occupations:
Father
Son
Holy Spirit

would that work?

Again, please dont put the three primary letters in reverse order.

All the Godhead bodily dwelt in Jesus. Jesus was all of God (Father) manifested in the flesh.
Wow, I didn't think there were people who are actual "Modalists" in their view of God alive today-- wasn't that determined to be heretical?

Deemed "heretical" by the Catholics, right?

Re: My Signature Diagram

OK, here is how I would say it:

The Father is the Holy Spirit
The Son is the Father manifest in flesh

So you see the distinctions between Father and Son as being internal to Jesus?
That is how many traditional Oneness Pentecostals have viewed the Godhead.

Many are abandoning that position however.

Jason Dulle has written on this
and this diagram is from the article. It places the distinctions outside of Christ while denying this constitutes separate "persons".

Of course being deemed heretical by Catholics is not always a bad thing...

At any rate you may enjoy reading Jason Dulle on this as well. The article is titled
Avoiding the Achilles Heels of Trinitarianism, Modalistic Monarchianism, and Nestorianism: The Acknowledgement and Proper Placement of the Distinction Between Father and Son
