I have already gone out on a limb in saying that the idiot driver who was shot probably has plenty of practice being an idiot driver.

Let's examine his driving record.

Is he prescribed glasses? Was he wearing them?

But because he was the one who called the police, he is completely not culpable now.

I hate it when I get interrupted trying to steal a car - - good enough reason to shoot whoever bothers me.

NOT!

CRIME REPORT: 2 charged after shots fired at off-duty officer
Monday, December 1, 2008

Shots were fired at an off-duty Memphis police officer late Sunday after he witnessed a car burglary in Whitehaven.

The officer saw two men running from an SUV parked across from Marlowe’s restaurant, 4381 Elvis Presley, about 11:20 p.m.

The suspects drove away with another man in a red Buick Century as the officer followed and radioed for help. Three shots were fired at the officer, but he wasn’t injured.

According to a police report, the Buick was stolen.

The suspects refused to stop when uniformed officers tried to pull over their car, which struck a police vehicle during the pursuit that followed.

The shooter IS the criminal. What he did is a felony

Praxeas,

So you are calling the shooter the idiot.

Ok.

I am using the same word to describe the one who was shot. He is the idiot driver.

I reiterate, I do not think what he did was right, so I am not justifying his actions.

I can rationalize and I do understand his actions.

I don't understand and can not rationalize driving someone off of the road, thus nearly killing the victim.

If the idiot driver was a decent person, he would have stopped to see if what happened. But he didn't.

The media has absolved the idiot driver who was shot of all guilt in this incident and has demonized a guy who potentially almost died at the hands of an inconsiderate driver.

Yeah, I see the justice in catching the shooter.... yeah right!

What justice is due him? He tried to kill a man for pulling in front of him.

My lord!!!

Re: Road Rage at it Best - Good Grief!

Did you miss this little piece of news:

A witness told police the victim's vehicle had apparently accidently pulled in front of the suspect vehicle causing the suspect vehicle to go off the road.

I called them both idiots. Nobody here absolved the driver.

No I didn't.

This witness does nothing to help the lot of the shooter here.

He didn't care.

He does what he does, drive the way he drives and does whatever he wants to do and he doesn't care.

Well now, he will care!
I normally try to not do this, but that is the most absurd post I've read here in a long, long time.

First off, you don't know that he was potentially almost killed - - I've been run off the road many times by stupid drivers and it means I hit the gravel and I pull my car back on the road.

Second, you do not have CLUE if the driver "couldn't give a rat's tail" or that he doesn't care. It sounds like it was an accident..........it happens. He probably scared himself silly and might not even have a record of being a stupid driver.

Being shot at will make him care - - huh? Keep him from driving all together for fear of being shot?

You should have heard the people interviewed on the 10:00 news......no sympathy for the shooter - - none at ALL!!!!

I realized this post was bad and have already edited it a great deal, apparently while you were responding to my original unedited post.

My bad.

I wish I could have heard the folks interviewed on the 10pm news.
