Re: Hurricane Harvey - Texas Coast
From David Bernard: "Hurricane Harvey: 25 UPCI churches flooded or damaged; STX and TX Districts have relief funds; other churches & districts are partnering."
"UPCI-endorsed agencies are helping TX: Reach Out America, Compassion Services Int, UPCI Loan Fund, districts partnering w/ Red Cross & FEMA."

Still don't have gas anywhere to be found. I have half a tank of gas. Will need to stay put. Many still without electricity.

Re: Hurricane Harvey - Texas Coast
The worst disaster I have seen.
Thankfully our home did not flood.
Many homes and vehicles flooded. These are usually the most expensive things we own. For the elderly these weather issues are very taxing, and those without flood insurance, which they say 80% don't have, could financially be wiped out.
Houston is drying out and most have moved to clean up mode.
Crosby Tx has a fire at a refinery due to a lack of power.
Beaumont water system has failed, causing the restaurants to close. Haven't heard if the hotels are still open without water. Plus they are flooded in due to main roads in and out are still flooded. Still doing rescue in the surrounding area.
On a sad note I heard that two volunteers boat capsized in rushing water and drowned. Don't know what city they were in when that happened. But there were life saves many times over by all the selflessness volunteers. They deserve reimbursement for their expenses.
And if that is not enough two more hurricanes building and going somewhere.

Yes, it has been the worst.
Euro, which is pretty reliable, just updated to a 50% chance Irma would hit the East Coast and 50% it goes back out to sea.
Next up to watch - another hispanic for Houston -Jose!!
