I did pass the G.E.D. test on the first try. This was ten years later after I dropped out of high school.

But I do not think of my self as smart or gifted.

After that, I took Diesel Mechanics Class and have a certificate.

Math is my weakness. I struggle at simple multiplying, but do well at word problems.

I can do most math well as long as I have a calculator.

I do not know how to read music, but I can play it.

You seem to me to be more creative.
The creative people struggle a lot with depression (not saying that you are)
but are gifted nonetheless.
