You Southern California folks have been in my thoughts and prayers today. Dislocation, terrible smoke and ash in the air and the possibilty of losing your home is a real trial. God bless.

So glad to hear that the winds have changed...praise God!

Do you know if the fires at all involve Ventura? I have a cousin who lives there.

The only news that we are getting here is San Diego. Prax would have more info on the Ventura fire.

The only fire so far was in Camarillo/Moorpark area but it was quickly taken care of. The Malibu fire is near Ventura county. The Castaic fire was heading towards the Ventura County border yesterday but I don't think it got close. So far so good, except the smoke and ashes

My daughters boyfriend told her earlier that he heard that Magic Mountain was bordered on all sides with fire! That's wild! He is in Bell Flower, not a danger area.

BTW, Prax, LOVE the new picture! Beautiful, brings tears to my eyes. Is it a good likeness??

I always thought Nancy Pelosi was the worst -next to Ted "the swimmer" Kennedy.

But then again were talking about San Fran which is a country onto itself.

Boxer just says some of the dumbest things- and she always gets a pass in the media because "she's a girl..." Have you listened to her in Senate hearings... that's enough to lead us all over to the narcotic painkiller thread for relief.
