Seems like when when you get in a corner you use the bad translation theory. If king James version is not for you then write your own Bible everyone is doing it these days.
The issue of braided hair would correctly be discussed on the standards thread.I also had a Great Grand mother who was a woman preacher,it does not change the Word of god.

The bible is the authority. Someone preaching what the bible says is not "taking authority".

So the word there does not mean "to preach".

How many time is the Word of God referred to as a sword?
When you draw that sword on someone you are attempting to take authority.

Regardless how you attempt to explain these NT instructions to the church, does this sound at all like God approves "women preacher's" in the NT church economy??????

O & lest I forget, let's say that a man got up to preach & was acting very feminine in his demeanor. Very prissified, soft-acting, etc. Are you telling us you wouldn't have a problem w/ it?? Of course, coming from someone who cannot even comprehend "I do not allow a woman to teach...", why should I be surprised either way???? Try again Prax!
