Re: Is footwashing a heaven or hell issue?

A wise old mother in zion once told me that walking in the spirit usually goes against the grain.

I'm only saying that if we don't live a life of humble service to one another, washing one another's feet is just a meaningless ritual.

Re: Is footwashing a heaven or hell issue?

At the 2008 annual symposium of Urshan Graduate School of Theology, Brother David K. Bernard offered a fuller commentary on footwashing in a presentation on holiness and culture. He made the argument that "if one believes Jesus’ command to observe Communion was to be followed, so we must also follow His directive for footwashing."

Re: Is footwashing a heaven or hell issue?

I can see where Jesus may have admonished a practice or ordinance to emphasize humility. But is the ordinance a "Heaven or Hell" issue? If one dies before foot washing service, will they be lost???

Yes or no?
