Re: Is footwashing a heaven or hell issue?

How many times are we suppose to do it to show our humility and show our servanthood?

Is once enough? How many times did our lord do it?

If it is God's will for your illness then why are you seeking medical attention to get rid of it?

The Bible does not say. An argument can be made that it should be a part of every Lord's Supper, however it could also be argued that not every Lord's Supper would require it. The least that could be said is it should be done every Passover, assuming a congregation had an annual remembrance of the Lord's death and resurrection.

From this it would seem to indicate that it is up to each congregation.

Yes or no?
It is required that Christians not forsake the assemblying of themselves together. If one dies before they were able to do that, would they be lost?

It is required that Christians should teach and admonish one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. But if you died before making it to meeting, and never got to sing with fellow Christians, would you be lost?

In other words, the question misses the point.

Rather ambiguous if something were a Heaven or Hell issue. I believe it is a healthy and blessed spiritual practice. I can relate to doing it once a year as part of Passover. However, I don't believe it is a requirement for salvation. Like fasting, it is a sound practice. But it isn't on par with water baptism or the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Ambiguous? He said 'do this'. Seems pretty unambiguous to me. Is the Lord's Supper a requirement for salvation? If a person REFUSES the Lord's Supper, are they saved?

A lot has to do with one's motives for doing - or not doing - something.

I still don't understand why we, as a group, are so focused on 'is this salvational? Is this required to be saved?' We sound like a bunch of spoiled brats... 'Do I HAVE to?'

Re: Is footwashing a heaven or hell issue?

Footwashing is a peculiar experience, kinda like an electrical cardioversion- "♡heart shock".
It sends Holy Ghost impulses back into our spiritual man once we've been obedient to the action of footwashing.
THERE'S NO substituting it!
