As I have heard some say, "The lost may not become saved and the saved may become lost"...I'm not saying I agree. That's just what I've heard.

The resolution clearly states that a licensed preacher can't have a TV in their home. That's pretty specific!

As Pragmatist has already stated, the big fish swallowing the small fish is big church swallowing small church.
While there are some who would never support any association with TV whatsoever, there are others who might support advertising if it were national ,a la LDS, and listed all the info for all the churches in a particular geography in the advertisement's trailer or on screen footer.
I will reiterate that the traditional ministerial ethics are disappearing. Meanwhile, as a result of the demise of ethics, the territorial nature of the traditional UPCI pastor is as strong if not stronger than it ever was. This is going to result in turf wars like New York or Chicago have never seen. It is a bad situation that will get worse in my opinion.

None of your business. If you do not like my posting style or the fact that I am not giving you information, do not respond to me.

You are right on this, Bro. Jones. Just as the gangs fight it out on the streets on the large cities, the religious politicians fight it out in the closed door meetings. Some of the same mentality - protect the turf at any cost - even to the loss of life!!!

I personally think very little of someone that expects me to "toe the line" and then does not do so themselves.

Now THIS is a good post. Bravo!

I understand, it's funny, but it really depends on what level of "Anti" they are.
I consider myself anti and I went on a show.

Can the UPC advertising on television really stop revival? I find that idea laughable. God is gonna have a church people. Maybe its time we expand our view of exactly who, and what that is.
We (UPC) are not the only players any more. We have a yearly net growth rate of 1%. Don't feed me a line of cockamamie that tv evangelism is going to hamper growth.
WHAT GROWTH?
