Probably with good reason.

Makes sense, why else would they bring him to preach?

I think mainly because he is so boring he does not threaten them..

I have personally never met anyone who thought he was boring???

Again that is my opinion.

This comment is very confusing to me. He is very anointed, gives substance and has given a Word from God. Not sure what you mean by perfect his profession? He is as fine an evangelist as any I have heard.

I agree. God healed me the very first time I heard him preach on Worshipping God.

LS doesn't need me or anyone to defend him, so I wont even try to.

I'll say however, that in his 30+ years of ministry he's been mightily used by God, had tens of thousands of people filled with the Holy Ghost under his ministry, and has influenced legions of saints and preachers to dig deeper into the things of God and to seek to be used of God.

I'm not going to act as if this man is the greatest thing since sliced bread, but keep this in mind: Since LS started preaching, there have been many thousands of other ministers and evangelists who have risen up within the UPC, but few have achieve his stature. Why? You don't rise to the level and stature that he has among UPC preachers just by accident. Clearly God is blessing him; clearly the man is doing something right. You cant just describe it as being a bunch of overzealous fans building a cult of personality around a shallow/overrated preacher, as some seem to be implying.

I've heard him preach many times in person and on tape, and his preaching has made an indelible impact on my walk with God as well as many others. I find it amusing to hear people say his preaching has little or no substance.

And regarding the naysayers and critics... how many tens of thousands of lives have they influenced for the kingdom of God?
Good post.

He ministers through the gift of faith. Stoneking goes to a conference and starts telling his stories and faith increases and miracles take place.

I was in the meeting in Chicago where a woman collasped and was pronounced dead by a Dr.
With the people getting frantic, he went down to the where the woman lay and spoke life back into her....she came back to life the place went nuts, the dr got baptized and Stoneking kept preaching lol it was awesome.
The doctor is a member of our church...she's an incredible christian!

I appreciate this post because so many say that his sermon's lack substance...but his ministry is to bring Jesus to people, to bring hope, faith to make everyone see that they can do the miraculous just as the apostles did. There are not many preachers among us who can do this.

When folks are overstating things. Then is time to speak up. Otherwise there would never be change or growth.

No, but you won't see me bashing them either. I recognize that they're servants of God, and I wish them well, even if their style/substance didn't do much for me.

Sure sounded like it to me. You essentially said the man's preaching doesn't contain anointing, substance, or a word from God.

Don't tell me you forget saying that already. I can show you your own words if you like.
Here we go:

(speaks for itself, I think)

I'm not sure why thats even relevant.

Do you need to lean on the opinions of "many people" to validate your own opinion? (Rhetorical question, of course. No need to respond.)

Anyway... it is what it is.
Have a good night sir.

.
I'll sum it up for you in one line. I think he is a boring preacher.

My final word...

Who has overstated things? I'll I've heard are some great testimonies of how God has used him. My husband was just with him in a meeting and there were many, many miracles of healing and deliverance.

Now you sound like you're just trying to justify yourself.
But your comments were way off base, and you know it.

So just stop, please.

I am sure many think you are too but still..........They do not act as you have. This man I have seen God use to hold many meetings where many miracles have happened.
