As for history meaning nothing to them .... once again you reject your heritage w/ your intolerant views that do not coincide w/ most of our Oneness forefathers ... such as Goss, A. Urshan and GT Haywood.

Dan I am speaking of THEIR history that of the PAW! I remind you I am a little over an hour from Indianapolis the HQs of the PAW and where Christ Temple is located. I have preached among the PAW in the past. I have heard the PAW preachers preach for years. No sir they are Apostates NOT the entire group but much of their leadership. I understand what you are saying but the the PCI teaching did not have roots in the PAW although I confess some believed in the light doctrine. They all taught Acts 2:38 was the new birth.

Interpretation:
"You old-fashioned Oneness control freaks are unlearned and unenlightened."
and
"Goss, Urshan, and Haywood were closet trinitarians."

I didn't hear Dan saying Goss, Urshan (A.D.) and Haywood "were closet trinitarians" or trinitarians at all. Those men fellowshipped with Trinitarians. They didn't seem to think that the differences between Oneness and Trinitarianism was something to divide over.

I am oneness. I believe holiness. I am thankful for my heritage. I will never go back on the oneness or Acts 2:38 as being the only way to be saved. If that makes me intolerant or ultra conservative so be it but I know what the Word of God teaches and I didn't write so I can't change it.
What is wrong with standing up for turth?

I like this one.
Romans 16:17
"Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them."

What do you think went through Frank Ewart's mind, or A.D. Urshan's (and the others) when they first contemplated the implications of the OP message? I remember reading (but I forget which writer) someone saying that they were concerned about that very passage and didn't want to cause offense by the way in which they preached "the doctrine."
And that was in a context of fellowshipping with and sharing pulpits with Trinitarian "brothers."

Rom 16:18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Shunning might not be in order if you read the next verse.......
Are there any who consider them self "simple" of AFF?
What about these?

2Ti 2:23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.

Quote:

Titus 3:9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
|
If we'd follow these two beauts there probably wouldn't be much debate on AFF.............

Obviously being anti-television is one of the most important things in the Apostolic doctrine...
