Re: Are You Eliminating Debt/Backstocking Food?
The market is going to swing up real soon.
The Dow made a last minute rally on Friday afternoon and only closed 100 and some odd points down after being down by much more through most of the trading day.
That is why I am about to start investing.
Inflation is a real threat, but I've heard that it will get serious a few years from now.

I even saw the bones of Adam and Eve on the front page of the National Enquirer while checking out. Imagine that publication validating the Bible? Hilarious. I told the person behind me, "Well, at least we know the Bible is for real now, huh?"
I read reports that are contrary to the economic woes being heralded over the news "during an election year".
Just me.

On the Drudge Report today, both the head of the International Monetary Fund and the head of the Bank of Spain say things are about to get much more serious. Joe Biden is warning of the same thing. But so far, things seem to be not so bad in my neighborhood. Housing values have held and employment is in full swing. We seem to be an island of prosperity.

You know the crazy thing is, I made this statement about 7 days before I lost my job.
Still jobless and the little bit I did invest I had to turn around and withdraw.
God is still good and merciful and kind to me though. Even when I don't understand why.

What are they going to do - have a "miraculous" recovery and pen that on Obama? They seem to know when to push and pull it in whatever favor they want it to go.

Just north of us they either laid off or are going to lay off 800 steal mill workers. Last one out of the Ohio valley would you please turn out the lights?
Jobs have always been a little scarce around here but I was a roving construction worker so no big deal, but man, all these people can't just pick and move and if they did where to?
