Irr, My wife carries a Cherrokee card... We have never been offered free healthcare. Nor do I think we would accept. We reject most free stuff they send our way...
Parents as Teachers programs (they begged us to allow the state in our home)
The Public School System (We pay them their annual $3,000.00 but prefer daily Bible Classes and prayer over lower learning.)

We are a white family. I would consider adopting a black child. I have a Baptist Pastor friend that has adopted two black children It has been a very rewarding experience for them.

It's been a while since I've researched it. I had some friends that had health coverage because of their NA status and had me look into it for my family. I don't remember the details but I'll look again.

Nothing could ever repay the atrocity of slavery. But affirmative action in the educational system that directly benefits African-Americans would be a good start.
Clarence Thomas is one who benefited from an educational affirmative action program.
