Re: Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.

There were several churches that grew out of the Azusa Street revival. The PAW is one of them.

I cant see this individual as fully being Apostolic in doctrine yet by the Comments posted.
Standards vary from church to church. I don't think teaching standards is even necessary, & here's my thoughts on why. Jesus gave us two commandments to follow in the new testament: love the Lord thy God with all your heart, soul, mind, & strength & love your neighbor as yourself. If you truly follow these, everything else falls into place. If you have a real relationship with Jesus, you know His voice. I think personal standards are just that. Personal. It's between a person & God.
Btw, I have never seen the big deal with beards. They plucked Jesus beard, & I'm guessing tweezers didn't exist at that point. Hubby has a "duck dynasty "type beard & is a very godly man. Did you know in the old testament, it even talks about not shaving the corners of a man's beard?

Actually, the NT does not say that our Lord's beard was plucked.

In the old.

King James Version
I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.

If it is God's will for your illness then why are you seeking medical attention to get rid of it?

Early renderings of Jesus showed Him beardless.

Interesting, are you saying this is evidence he was?

Nothing of the sort, only that Jesus was beardless in some of the earliest depictions. Another thing to consider is that Jesus lived in an extremely Hellenized culture. Hence the reason that the original Gospel accounts, epistles, and book of Revelation all are written in Greek. Also Jesus having a Judean disciple named Phillip which is a Greek name and not Aramaic. It maybe that Jesus and His disciples were beardless? Not saying that for sure, but just saying it could be the case.

Late 4th to early 5th century found at the Latomou Monastery in Thessaloniki.

Another depiction of a beardless Christ.
