Allow Jesus to supernaturally work in your life through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Re: Do you think Revelations is enigmatic?
I stand by my reasoning. There's no shame in seeking counseling. If you're struggling, get help.
After praying and seeking a decent counselor, I found one. And no, there was no need for psychotropic medication. Simple EMDR. And, it can be self administered after you get the hang of it in a few sessions. I like to include Scripture when I self administer. After a while, you don't even feel the need, so you don't have to continue. God can use a counselor and a natural therapy just like He can use a good doctor.
Here is a link that might help answer questions and help one understand EMDR.
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sour..._LuVfsLRjPKldw
EMDR is not your Savior. It isn't supernatural. It's only a therapeutic tool, an exercise, like a sit-up. If you want to lose weight and build muscle tone, learning how to properly exercise using sit-ups, push-ups, running, etc. is valuable along with a proper diet. Painful intrusive memories can be triggered without warning. These thoughts and memories can be taken captive and reprocessed to relieve the physiological side effects they bring through the EMDR exercise. It's your body, your brain. You can learn how to train your brain to overcome the effects of PTSD, just like you can choose an exercise routine to lose weight.
I like to reprocess with thoughts of grace, healing, and identity from the Scriptures. When the memories rush in, in most cases, the Scripture comes with it, bringing me peace. There's no need to fear learning how your own brain works. Every trained soldier must know their weapon and equipment. You've been equipped with a brain in this body God gave you. Learn how to use it and help heal it.
While the Apostles didn't know EMDR, you'd be blessed to know that they understood that thoughts can be taken captive, and the mind conquered...
2 Corinthians 10:5
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Powerful mind altering drugs are NOT necessary. And even EMDR will become less necessary as the memory is reprocessed. You're fearfully and wonderfully made. Learning how the body works, be it the processing of calories or memories isn't a sin. No one would argue that you should only lose weight by praying. It takes work. Likewise, reprocessing painful memories can take work to. Just as a sit-up can help burn fat and tone up that waist line, EMDR can help reprocess painful memories. It's just an exercise.
Please note, both sit-ups and EMDR are not mentioned in the Bible. But they can be of benefit.

Re: Do you think Revelations is enigmatic?
2nd Corinthians 10:5 and Romans 12:2 have zero to do with Jesus + Psychotherapy. Weight training and exercise has been around since the dawn of time. The therapies which you advocate are less than 50 years or even less. Psychology itself is more than a 100 years old. So, Aquila? Jesus was waiting for man to come up with this to help Him get it together? All you want is to be right, and win an argument. Ok, I asked you to jell out scriptually how Jesus and the Apostles were psychotherapists? With book, chapter, and verse. You didn't? Because it is not there. You need to devote your efforts all to receiving the Holy Ghost, giving it all to Jesus. What was God doing while he waited for psychotherapeutic excercises? Did He wring His hands while He waited for man to create a therapy to stop intrusive thoughts. Jesus' method for the intrusive thoughts for lust was simply to tell a married man NOT to stare at women and have ungodly thoughts. Simple, pretty simple. Yet you would stand by YOUR reasoning because it's YOUR reasoning. Well guess what, no one can count on YOUR reasoning. They need the mind of Christ which has been on the job way longer than YOUR reasoning.
Psychiatry is styrafoam flotation device, you might be able to get from Cuba to the Florida Keys on one, but it is a dangerous way to travel.
Readers, Jesus is the answer, and needed no help from Sigmund Freud. Every time man wants to modify Christ, man ends up getting man in trouble.
Jesus renews the mind through your submission to His will not YOUR will through the Holy Ghost.

Hey, if someone doesn't get help, after reading your posts, and harms themselves and or others, it's on you. Not me. Maybe they can try to sue AF for not making it clear that your opinion doesn't necessarily represent the forums opinion. But still, it's on you, not me.

Aquila, because you insist of living detached from any semblance of Biblical Christianity. You are in the shape you are in. More poster scare tactics Aquila? I'm the projectionist? No, you are the bringer of bad tidings, the one who enlists fear to help a crippled hopelessness appear as hope. Readers, please take note how Aquila deals with those who oppose him. He uses fear to try to get conformity. He tells me that someone is going to die if HIS reasoning isn't being left a an option. So, reader, how long did God have to wait for Aquila to come along an advocate his REASONING on an Apostolic Pentecostal Forum?
His last coercive tactic was the threat of a lawsuit?
Aquila, try to hold a discussion in a CHRISTIAN FORUM within the parameters of Christianity. Especially the Christianity, this particular forum is trying to represent. Apostolic Jesus Name Pentecost. 2,000 years is what we have available. You don't think it works? Then that's on you. I believe it is the only way. Your REASONING isn't an option. Because you're REASONING got you where you are today. It doesn't look like it did you a bit of good. So, anyone wants to fly your friendly skies, I would advise them to review before they take the flight. Jesus has never missed a beat, and He continues to help people through His reasoning.
I will continue to fly with Jesus' reasoning, and sadly you will continue to float with YOURS.

Re: Do you think Revelations is enigmatic?
Another thing, if you answer me.
Do it in the thread which is dedicated to psychology.
Give Amanah back her thread.
Also aren't you at work?
Big day, needed to meet a manager or something like that/

I recall now something about your responses. I was trying to recall and now I remember. You pick and choose what you answer from me and demand I answ all your posts. Let's not play that game. Let's respond to everything. Respond to what I stated about Hebrews 2:14 and how that relates to bondage in Rev 20. Let's be thorough. I am almost a couple thousand miles away from home driving back this weekend. So my time is limited. But I will get all to you. Please do the same for my posts.
