I think if you reflect on your options, it "seems", to me, that it would be yuck!

Re: How the TSA shakes down a fully armed squad
Maybe the TSA should stand down for a week and see what happens. Maybe after having a few hundred people killed will wake Americans up to the fact that we're still at war.
My fellow Americans are frustrating me. We send other people's boys and girls to the front lines to fight and die for America's efforts to take the battle to the terrorists. However, those on the home front don't want to sacrifice or do anything that we're called upon to do to aid in keeping terrorism at bay. We are a nation of comfortable, fat, lazy whiners that want to watch TV and eat pizza in a make believe world where the "war" is just that news blurb on television.
We ALL have a price to pay... from the soldier sacrificing their lives on the battlfield, to the citizen allowing themselves to be screened to keep our nation's security network strong.
We are at war... we have to make necessary sacrifices to win. That means... all of us.

Is there a petition I can sign to make this happen?
Can we make it indefinitely?
Sign me up... I'm ready to make it happen.
Anybody else on board?

Aquila - those soldiers are sacrificing their lives to protect us AND our freedom. There are a lot of lazy Americans who don't even know what their rights should be and aren't really interested in standing up for them when they do find out they're being violated.
If the TSA were to come out and say these were temporary measures because we're at war, and when terror threat was reduced the security would be reduced that would be helpful. I don't think that's the case, though.
I have a nephew still in Iraq, who will probably be moved to Afghanistan. I'm quite aware of what is going on, and that makes it even MORE important to stand up for freedom and against stupidity.
I'm not at all frustrated with my fellow Americans for complaining about the new measures. I'm proud of them for using their voices. The pat-downs and screenings are ridiculous because they are applied without common sense.

The brown shirt brigade.
The Muslim Ft Hood shooter had numerous alerts on him. They couldn't pursue them because of politically correctness.

They are appplied with a total lack of having reasonable cause to believe the passenger plans on blowing up the plane.
Illegal searches lack reasonable cause.

Indeed. If there are a group of "lazy Americans" to be pointed out it would be those who just take these measures with a "whatever you say" mentality rather than having the mental capacity to see when government has overrun it's bounds and then following through with a public outcry such as is going on now.
I am finding the current level of public outrage quite refreshing.
