Beloved, what does "election" mean to you? Is it possible that it applies
to those who have NEVER heard the gospel that saves; or perhaps, have
only heard a perverted version?
When you're dealing with people who don't even understand what fulfilling law means, and who think no one can know they are saved, when the new testament plainly referred to people alive at that time serving Jesus WHO WERE SAVED; and with people take everything personally and cannot see the difference between objective issues and subjective issues, who think and any verses that disprove their theology are excused and claimed to be in the bible to trip dishonest people up; ...you'll soon be insulted and condemned, because they cannot relate to issues that are solely objective and NOT personal. You'll soon be personally insulted and dragged through the mud if you continue. The true fruit comes out in personal attacks.

Re: Those who never heard about Jesus?

well, you are only going to get that when you are being a hypocrite and getting tripped up in your own shoelaces and then refuse to admit it, like any moral person could do to any plantation owner in a conversation about the morality of owning slaves. (best analogue i can think of, anyway)

if you really seek truth, i would suggest that you make a poll to gauge others' thoughts on what fulfills the law and prophets means, but really, all one need do is read through your last poll to know that all you are doing is struggling mightily to maintain your illusions, because after all what plantation owner is going to be talked into setting their slaves free .

we are basically talking about Universal Dominion, and you imagine yourselves the arbiters of others' salvation, and you reveal yourselves when you struggle against every Word of Christ that i quote to you, and incidentally when you do not acknowledge KBTW or the one or two others that are respected that have made plain Scriptural sense, but will not force their understanding upon you because they are smarter than me

So i say again that you have been trained to go and proselytize people to your way of condemnation, while it is you who is lost and will die in your sins if you do not change your mind, and stop trying to defend "judge others, do not judge yourselves."

I can even direct you to an OP sermon on the matter, but being as how it is free i doubt you would like it anyway. You think i'm being a jerk, yikes, you should hear this guy, Cracker Barrel on steroids i'm trying to save your life, man. Keep trying, though. I am going to be here when you are gone, ok? And i am going to be reflecting Christ as best i am able, and the longer you are here the more obvious it is going to become that you hate what Christ represents, if that is not obvious enough yet in your poo-pooing every quote of Christ.

There are hundreds of paths up the mountain, all leading in the same direction. The only one wasting time is the one who runs around and around the mountain, telling everyone that his or her path is wrong.

Wrong.

Jesus is "THE" way not "A" way.

Paul said:

Galatians 1:6-9 KJV I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: (7) Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. (8) But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. (9) As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

And what is the gospel Paul preached?

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV (1) Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; (2) By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. (3) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; (4) And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Preach anything other than this and Paul said you're accursed. His words, not mine.

Re: Those who never heard about Jesus?

All these claims of using Christ's words and others being unable to deal with them. It's taking things out of context, using recommendations to maintain good works that are distinctly said do not impress God but are profitable TO MEN, thereby not being the cause of salvation, and trying to make them the cause. Salvation by works is not what Jesus said. And the personal insults and the admission to cursing and condemning reveal the true fruit of wolves in sheep's clothing.

I guess the Cross wasn't necessary...

How do you know this is true? I don't think you have ever actually answered that question.

How do you know "all religions lead to the same goal" or whatever version of that which you maintain is true?

First, while all religions contain some degree of divine truth, all religions are imperfect human expressions. So, in my opinion, each religion will leave the "fundamentalists" of their religion to a rather troubled afterlife. But the "spiritual" in every faith will intuitively sense the divine truths contained in not only their own faith tradition, but also in the faith traditions of others.

Second, how do you know I'm mistaken? Because your interpretation of an ancient "book" says that I'm mistaken? What makes your book, and your interpretation of it, more authoritative over other books? Because it claims to be? What about every other book's claim to be authoritative over your book and your interpretation of said book? And what makes your book authoritative over the personal experiences of countless life changing near death experiences? What makes your book more authoritative over the increasing shift in global consciousness to the oneness of all things?

Re: Those who never heard about Jesus?

If I've seen the vast expanse and depth of the ocean and you haven't, do I need a book to prove to you that the ocean is real?

What do you think I'd think of a book that made the claim that the ocean isn't real?
