I thought his name was spelled "jonathan" not "johnathan" but the ad seems to disagree

Don't tell anyone but, quite often, I wish I had been raised a Suber. And I am very proud of Jonathan and all that he's done and is doing.

I like Jonathan Suber and wish him nothing but an impacting ministry. I also do not have a problem with other ministers preaching in other pulpits. Saying that, with the passage of Resolution 3....there should not be a question about him preaching IF the AL District Board has okayed him to preach in their district.

I would imagine licensed UPC ministers in Alabama who have a responsibility to the AL district and it's rules would care.

Good grief! Why the silly statement? I would hope that men who are part of an organization would care about what the rules are, etc.

They may choose to do something not officially sanctioned or approved but they should at least "care" enough to think it through.

Your disdain dilutes any good in your posts.

Talking

Does the UPC have a bylaw that says that you have to consult the District Board before you let a non-upc minister preach in your pulpit?

If they do, that's part of the UPC's problem, IMO. If the man preaches Acts 2:38 and is still Apostolic, then I don't see why that the District Board should be consulted.

Not until Tampa.....Resolution 3.

Basically...(and if different, please say so)...any minister who has left UPC (good standing or not) must have permission from the District Board to preach in a UPC church in their district.

It was a ridiculous resolution to begin with. I would like to know whose bright idea this was.
