Here is the truth. The church was pastored by Shelton Young who is retiring. He used to be UPC years ago. Mark Briggs came in and took the church and Young retired a few years ago. Mark had some trouble and took a pretty large group and started another church. Young came back in. Now Suber is taking the church. It is not UPC.

I thought Young had always been ALJC?

I read his book and didn't recall him mentioning ever being UPC...

But I am obviously not as well informed about the goings on in that area as you would be.

It is indeed the truth. I am the one who erroneously posted the possibility of trinitarian origins. That was based on a conversation I had with Mark Briggs when he was getting ready to take the church... somewhere around 6 or 7 years ago. I was in error as Bishop Young has been there since the 60s. I understood Mark to say it had been and Assembly of God church when it had actually been associated with the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ. That is my error and I apologize for the misinformation. It was certainly not intentional nor was intended to be derogatory in any way. I wish there were more former trinne churches being pastored by oneness men.

it was a UPC church several years ago. the split (i am not sure if it was a REAL split or just a few left, happened about 3 years ago). not sure about the trinitaritan part.
