Whlie Granite gives you natural beauty. it also comes with a price...LOTS O MAINTENANCE!!!!! Silestone has a lot to offer with variety AND is maintenance free.
You can actually get formica with newer bevelled edged that matches what they do with granite, and they also have a sheen you can get applied...it really is beautiful for a fraction of the cost.

several years...... I guess I'm in the dark about the "maintenance" granite needs. We were told just to seal it every so often. I think they said once a year. Just buy the stuff at Home Depot and wipe it on.... maybe I need to call the man that did it, just to make sure. But mine looks as nice as the day it was put in.

How about a link? Is it alternating tiles if granite and marble? You've got me on the mix.

Between Silestone, Granite and Coran if you have used any of these what is your experience.

Surveys indicate that Granite scratches easily, as does Coran and Coran stain. Silestones shows seam lines.

I like a shiny surface and white because it lightens the room and has a clean look.

I see some are now going to stainless steel, but that scratches and makes noise.

I know formica is cheaper and is what I have now. So I need no input on that.

Thanks.

i have Coran and love it. it cleans very easy.
