Just as if a woman wears pants made for women, I don't see how we can say she's crossdressing.
However, if she wears a man's apparel with the purpose of looking like a man, she's crossdressing.
Women almost never wore pants until the 1940s.

The school where I went would not allow girls to wear pants and it sure wasn't pentecostal.

I would agree that traditionally it wasn't acceptable, but do we really have scripture to back the "no pants for women" issue?

Rev, what one is called depends on if they're purposefully trying to appear as the opposite sex. Men who are cross-dressers will also wear a wig and carry a purse. Women who are cross-dressers will wear a mustach, comb their hair like a man's or wear a wig, and wear men's shoes.

As to your question about what a woman is called that wears pants - She's call a woman!

What was the reason for the tradition? Because all churches taught it at one time.

I have an old, old book written by a Methodist. Dress was very important to them then.

Re: Cross Dressers

Is it written in the bible that women must wear dresses?

Were dresses invented by the twelve apostles, or were dresses a product of culture? If they were a product of culture, what if that culture changes? Is culture ever allowed to change?

Only for the men.

I saw a picture of J-Lo in a pair of pants------------------------
Sure didn't look like no man to me!!!!!!!

Seriously, the pants issue to me has more to do with a woman being modest than looking like a man. Of course there are lesbians trying to portray themselves as a man. The problem with this line of argument is that we have women in Pentecostal churches that will wear a skin-tight skirt/dress and justify that she is holy because she isn't wearing pants. The issue is sensuality and exposing the body in an inappropriate manner IMO.
