Re: Lasik Eye Surgery

I am getting mixed recommendations about how long to take off work.

Some say they went to work the next day...?

I worked with a guy who had it done a while back. He was back at work the next day, but had to wear shades for a few days.

I'd love to have it done. But the thought makes me almost throw up. Probably never going to happen.

I'd say, take a day off! Any reason for taking a day off is a good reason.. and surgery has got to be one of the best!!

Re: Lasik Eye Surgery

My stepson had it. Had very bad eyes. Wore real thick glasses. Now he's got nearly perfect vision. I've read that lasic eye surgery is the safest surgery you can have. But...for the life of me...I can't stand the thought of using a laser on the eye. But, what do I know? Hope all goes well. Will put ya on my list!

Re: Lasik Eye Surgery

I had it several years ago. I had it on a Friday and was back at work on Monday. It was the best money I ever spent on myself. I had one eye done to see far away and one eye to see close up. I am 57 years old and just now have to wear drugstore reading glasses when my eyes are tired. I would recommend it to anyone who wears glasses. The key is to get a good surgeon.

Re: Lasik Eye Surgery

I almost had it done. But, I am near-sighted and if I had it done, I would HAVE to put on glasses to read and I don't want to do that. I like reading without glasses since I do so much of it.
