Employees are Like Sheep...

Jesus said that He was the good Shepherd and that the good Shepherd

giveth His life for His sheep! Who gave His life for us!

When we are children we need to obey our parents, especially if they

are godly parents. God gave children parents because they needed them!

God also told children to honour their father or mother!

When we go to school, we have teachers, etc. to teach us in the

area of basic education. This teaching SHOULD not take away or be

something that would interfere with what our godly parents have taught

us. (It can happen though.)

If we have been taught by our parents, but word and example, we should

come to a point we can feed ourselves! Read and study the word at home

and in Bible study in church perhaps.

Our teaching at home by our parents should have taught us to have a

personal relationship with God. To look to Him for any need we may have.

To trust in Him with all our hearts. Let God be true and every man a liar!

Full confidence in God. He is to be NUMBER ONE!! Always put Him first. If

you need (lack) wisdom, He has plenty. Just ask and He will give you as

much as you need!!

JESUS is to be the GOOD SHEPHERD always! The church is the body!

He (always) is the Head and all things flow from the Head to the body!!!

Now whether we are dumb sheep or not, depends on who has been or

is our shepherd. The real SHEPHERD!!! GOD or man! We are HIS people,

the sheep of His Pasture. We have houses or places of fellowship in which

the body fellowships. If the HEAD isn't there, it is in vain. The Spirit of God

must be there ( and if He is in us) we bring Him with us...or rather IN us!

That makes all the difference! No matter how many men, women, boys

and girls are there, if JESUS (The Good Shepherd isn't there) you might as

well stay home! Where the GOOD SHEPHERD IS, there SHOULD be where

HIS SHEEP is also!!!

Jesus told His disciples somethings about calling men Father, or Rabbi or

Master, etc. but for them to be as brethren.

Just some sincere serious thoughts from a senior sister!

Blessings,

Falla39

Incidentally, who taught me what I just posted about the Shepberd and

His sheep!! My godly dad, who was also my pastor from age 18 to 50.

He has been gone 17 yrs. but what he left in me was more important

than what he left to me! Thank God for my godly parents who served

God with a reverential, respectful fear. I continue to look to that same

God to lead me on unto everlasting life! "Looking unto Jesus, the Author

and Finisher of our faith".

Blessings to all,

My Dad was/is not a church going man [praying for him to receive the Holy Ghost], but he gave me some of the best advice I've ever heard about being employed or doing business with others.

He told me to "give a little more then is expected of you and you'll succeed". Most just do what is expected.

Jesus taught something quite similar "If a man compels you to go a mile go twine".

Bro. RevDWW,

That is commendable what your dad taught you. There's a lot to

be said about honesty and integrity. My dad was such a "just" or

righteous man, although he wouldn't like me to say that, But I know

his life, his prayer life and love for God's Word and endeavored by God's

mercy and grace to follow it. I love the scripture in Hebrews that speaks

of the "spirits of just men made perfect". He will end it all in righteousness!

Jesus knows how!!

I remember praying for your very ill dad and praying for him to receive

the Holy Ghost. May our God draw your dad by His Spirit and save him,

in Jesus Name!!!

Blessings,

Thank you, Brother,

What gives me joy is that I know that it's the Spirit of the Lord!

From the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh. What's in

us flows out!! I am trying to be very careful that I do what Jesus

did! He told His disciples that He did and said only those things the

Father told him to do and say. If we want to be like Jesus, then we

must do what He did! There was a saying popular a while back, "What

Would Jesus Do"? or WWJD!! I wanted to say, Not what WOULD He do,

but what DID He do! And I want to do it!

Blessings, Brother RevDWW! I will continue to remember your dad and

his need for the Holy Ghost!

Oh Falla, this is so refreshing!!!

I have a feeling that we are going to be preached at once again on sin and/or deception, because a few people have left the church. Can I come to church with you instead?
