I have to say Renda, that I truly love the smiley... it seems to express what I'm feeling so well at times.

Re: PETA...

Have y'all seen that commercial where they're asking for money for the animals and they have the soft, tear-jerking music playing in the background and the commercial is played out just like the "feed the children" commercials? I about croak everytime I see it!

"His struggles and cries are ignored ... the man with the knife shows no emotion ... the victim is slaughtered and his head cut off ... his flesh is eaten," reads the ad posted on the PETA site.

"If this ad leaves a bad taste in your mouth, please give a thought to what sensitive animals think and feel when they come to the end of their frightening journey and see, hear and smell the slaughterhouse," it says...."

I think it is for this reason hardly anyone takes PETA seriously. They are shooting their own cause in the foot.

They have doing this for years and I always keep wondering if they realize how they are actually hurting their cause. The only people that would approve are those already on their side. So they are preaching to the choir and spending a lot of money to do so

The one with Sarah McLachlan? (sp?) Playing "In the Arms of an Angel" (whatever that song is called)?

Sarah changes the channel every time it comes on. LOL!!!! She can't stand it! Hilarious that's its too over the top even for a 10-year-old!
