$50 for a man's haircut is outrageous. You can buy a pair of clippers for that. (Both my boys have buzzed haircuts. Quick and cheap and they don't look shaggy.)

I believe standards are just that- standards that are based on Bible principles that guide my personal walk with God. I do not use them as a measuring stick, but they are very general guidelines based on modesty, integrity, holiness and balance. Yes, I have some specific things that I abide by in my life, but they are personal to me, based on personal convictions that God has dealt with me about.
