Bro. 1399,
We love Him because He first loved us! We didn't know what love was or how
to love until HE showed us HOW! God showed His Love when a robe of flesh
was prepared so He could come and indwell that body. He wanted to come
near His people. to identify with His Creation. And while we were yet sinners,
He died for us, and not for us only but for the sins of the whole world. A body
of flesh was prepared and when that body (Son) was about 30 yrs. old, the
Father (Spirit, Deity) came and indwelt him at his baptism, to fulfill all righteous-
ness. The Son of God was the full measure of what a man should be when he is
full of the Holy Ghost (Spirit, Father,Deity). No wonder Jesus told Nicodemas,
You MUST be born again. No, not again from your mother's womb. But born of
water (baptism) and the Spirit (Father, Deity). A spiritual birth. Born from above.
Greater love hath no man than a man lay down his life for a friend. This Lamb,
prepared from the foundation of the world, freely lay down His life for the sins
of the world. This includes all of us!
Today we can love because of the love of God shed abroad in our hearts by the
Holy Ghost which is given unto us! God showed His love in and through the man,
Christ Jesus. God is a Spirit. How else could He show His love for mankind, except
in and through a man. Now we have His love shed abroad in our hearts that we
may show His love to mankind. The Holy Ghost is the Father's love. God IS LOVE!
If we say we love God and hate our brother or sister, we are liars. If we don't have
love in our hearts for those we have seen, how can we say we love GOD who we
have not seen.
