Re: Christmas Plans

The economy has nothing to do with us setting aside one day in a year to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Will the normal amount of money be spent on gifts for the family - probably not.

Re: Christmas Plans

We will be celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas with kids and grandkids on Dec.14th. That is the only thing that will be different. I love to decorate for Christmas. Will be shopping soon.

Re: Christmas Plans

Driving 12 hours to be with my spouse's family. I'm not very excited about that or the long drive. The only bright spot is we're stopping at a couple places along the way to visit with long-time friends we rarely see.

Still, I wish we would just stay home.

Re: Christmas Plans

Christmas will be different for me this year.

It will be the first time that I will not be with family ON CHRISTMAS - - - waaaaahhhaaa!

When my kids got married we decided to do the every other year thing just to make it easier for everyone. I had them for Thanksgiving this year so they will be with their in-laws for Christmas.

I was going to my dad's for Christmas, but found out last week they are going to his wife's daughter's in Houston.

I have a few options - just not sure what I will be doing though. Trying to be a big girl about it, but.....................

You can come visit us.... We're spending our very first Christmas alone this year (and actually looking forward to it).
