I guess I don't understand how this is related to having sympathy for someone that lost their son. Not trying to be critical, but who put you in the role of excusing or not excusing his or his son's indifference to the Word?
There always seems to be a post like this whenever someone dies.... "Just a reminder - this person is in hell...; lest you feel too much sympathy" I guess I just don't get it.

Sad to hear of John Travolta's son passing.
That is a burden no parent should have to bear.

Re: Actor John Travolta's son dies in Bahamas
DerrickS, I agree with you. We all know the Travolta family was devout Scientologists. I do not not believe the Travolta family will be saved unless they find truth. Regardless, when a person dies, it is not the time to judge but rather give love/sympathy. II Corinthians clearly states the greatest is...love.
Not trying to pick a fight but ChTatum, did you ever send the salvation message to Travolta? You said you wanted to reach the world but can't tolerate indifference to the Word. No one is tolerating indifference to the Word when they offer a sinner compassion.

I apologize for the way I came across, yes, I sympathize for the family, having lost a child of my own.

Re: Actor John Travolta's son dies in Bahamas
Most of the time, whenever I hear of tragedy or loss, it makes me sympathetic for those who are suffering.
I hope for the salvation of John Travolta and family.

Thanks for that. And I'm very sorry for your loss. Can't imagine...
