Re: Classic Ann Coulter

Ann shares the idea of victumhood. It is depended on who or what the parties involved are. If bad things happen to a black republican, it is not an example of a victum. If the same thing happens to Gov Palin, she is not a victum.

Re: Classic Ann Coulter

I don't disagree with everything Ann Coulter says but I seldom can agree with her spirit.

I have never watched Ann Coulter (or heard a quote from her books) that didn't turn my stomach with the spirit in which she presents her thoughts.

I find it unbearable.

I hear you. I will defend her in one way. I will give 2 examples. If we have a booze or crime buddy and have to confront him and get him to treatment, we may have to do an in his face intervention. It is very confrontational. Subtle and soft approach will never work.
If we are dealing with liberals that are aggressive and in your face radicals like the saul alinksy crowd, a blunt and sharp toungue gets the message to some that can't get it another way.

Jonah and John the baptizer are 2 examples.
her audience is not gentle spirited soft spoken rational people at all.

She is a lawyer and can do a number on Matt lauer or a liberal news host.

And that is where I stand.

I once attended a church pastored by a man used in the ministry of a prophet.

I eventually had to leave the church.

i honor the man of God.

I love him personally and on a ministerial level.

But his spirit was too rough for me and it wore me down spiritually.

I cannot tolerate Miss Coulter. Her spirit is one I cannot bear to be submitted to.

Perhaps it is a similar situation. But it definitely isn't apples to apples.

Good points. In an earlier comment the word "mentally" was inserted before unballanced.

Coulter used the concept in her earlier book. Evolutionists say every scientist believes in evolution. If you dn't, you are not a scientist. If one disagrees with a certain political view point, they must be mentally unballanced because mentally healthy people could only see the same facts the same way.

Using your analogy, the approach that political parties are using to their advantage is that everyone who believes in "evolution" must be a scientist...and that if you're not a scientist, you must not believe in "evolution". They use this to garner blind support and allegiance whether they intend to do anything about "evolution" or not.

(If you can catch my drift)

Re: Classic Ann Coulter

I really like Anne Coulter--however, she is, without a doubt, a strong personality, and in her field, she has to be.

Like Rush, she sometimes goes over the top, and that can be annoying--and probably alienates people she might otherwise be able to influence with her political views.

She's definitely a smart cookie. The description "mentally unbalanced" doesn't even apply.

That would be great. Hopefully I'll be able to get to one of the AFF get-togethers and meet a bunch of people. I was hoping that some may be at the South Texas Ladies' Conference, but I guess not.
