So, I said "sloth" and/or "turtle". Wonder what some pyschobabalist would say about that?
Sloth: Alloof, shy, slow moving, stays in trees away from people, cute in an ugly sort of way, eats alot, doesn't do well in captivity. Not real smart.
Turtle: Slow moving, deliberate, shys away from people, hard exterior, cute in an ugly sort of way. Not real smart.

Deceptively cute, intelligent, independent, creative, a bit of a hoarder, free. In captivity, finds plenty of trouble for itself-always into something. Stubborn-when it gets ahold of something it will not let go, even if trapped in the process. Good climber. (I love heights.)

Stew, maybe not the black panther. They are TOO aggressive. You need to be something more domesticated because a panther wouldn't leave you free to care about people, and I really feel like you do. I could see you as a large, sleek, award-winning black cat. One with fine credentials. You would be much more than an ordinary housecat. But NOT a wild cat. But a cat is definitely good. I see you sitting back observing and when the time is right, you stand up, stretch, speak your peace, move about and take care of business, then go back to your corner to observe some more..
