This is interesting as the Democratic Party is following these lines very closely.

THE TEN PLANKS OF THE COMMUNIST MANIFESTO

I-THE ABOLISHING OF ALL PRIVATE PROPERTY-The democrats call this wealth redistribution-

Dedicated says - tell me whose property has been confiscated?

Obama says that is his agenda! Wealth redistribution is the democrats way of taking your private property and giving it to others. Also, emminent domain and others.

II-A HEAVY PROGRESSIVE INCOME TAX-What more needs to be said?

Uh, dedicated, what do you say about this?

III- ABOLISHING OF ALL RIGHTS OF INHERITANCE- Under the Democrat, Jimmy Carter, the inheritance tax was 70%. Under Bush, 43%

Look for this to jump back up when Bush's tax cuts expire in 2012.

Dedicated says - Even some rich conservatives don't believe in leaving their children millions

Dedicated, that is not even a good answer. What someone decides to do with their own millions is their right. My problem is when I have no choice.

IV- CONFISCATION OF THE PROPERTY OF ALL IMMIGRANTS AND REBELS-

Dedicated says- when has this happened???

It has not happened on that level yet, but the groundwork is in place.. ie penalties for who they call "Criminals". What is going to happen when they criminaize what you are doing?

V- CENTRALIZATION OF CREDIT IN THE HANDS OF THE STATE, BY MEANS OF A NATIONAL BANK, WITH STATE CAPITOL, AND AN EXCLUSIVE MONOPOLY- When America went from the gold standard in the 30's the value of the money began to drop. With the recent acquisition of Banks in the last year we see a dangerous trend developing towards communism.

Dedicated says -we don't have a national bank, we have private banks

Dedicated, just what is the Federal Reserve? How could they buy GM and the others if they are not a bank? What is Freddie and Fannie?

VI- CENTRALIZATION OF THE MEANS OF COMMUNICATION AND TRANSPORTATION IN THE HANDS OF THE STATE.-The major push of environmental reasons for mass transit and control of the movement of people has less to do about the environment and more to do about control.

Dedicated says - we have freedom of the press have u ever seen fox news, ridiculous

And yes, Dedicated, they are trying to institute legislation to control that particular media outlet. The Fairness Doctrine I believe?

VII- NATIONALIZATION OF FACTORIES AND INSTRIMENTS OF PRODUCTION BY THE STATE.- Be wary when the government wants to control production and resources. The first move of any communistic government is nationalization of oil and production. This will also be the dissolution of the family farm.

Dedicated says- there is absolutely no nationalization of industry in america except for the auto and bank bailout started by bush

I say, you've answered your own question.

VIII- EQUAL LIABILITY OF ALL TO WORK. ESTABLISHING OF INDUSTRIAL ARMIES, ESPECIALLY FOR AGRICULTURE. As unemployment grows, look for heavy government intervention. there is absolutely no government intervention in unempolyment besides increased spending

IX-COMBINATION OF AGRICULTURE WITH MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIES. GRADUAL ABOLITION OF ALL THE DISTINCTION BETWEEN TOWN AND COUNTRY BY A MORE EQUITABLE DISTRIBUTION OF THE POPULACE OVER THE COUNTRY. We will decide where you need to live and what would be best. hogwash demographics are decided by the economy not government

X- FREE EDUCATION FOR ALL CHILDREN IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS. No more home schools and religious schools.

Re: 10 planks of the Communist Manifesto

To not believe the Dems. have turned heavy communistic is to ignore the Communist Partys own declaration. They are not hiding it, why do some ignore it?

Whatthen do you consider the Federal Reserve and groups like the FDIC to be then? Good grief man...they are Federal organizxations running the banks, controlling the nations money!

We make the goods, produce a product, employ the employees, make the money only to put it into a bank and then have them charge us interest to let us borrow our own money! And the Gov is behind it loving every minute of it.

Sweet God you cannot be that daft as to not see it!

Re: 10 planks of the Communist Manifesto

Wow.

The glasses through which I see the world can make things seem whatever I want to see.

Later, I will respond to this thread in more depth.

But if I wanted to say anything negative about any facet of this country or anything broad about a political group, I could do so by presenting certain "facts" in a certain manner.

It's called spin.

For example the FDIC is not a bank-- it insures the banks and insures the safety of the citizens financial deposits, up to ($250,000.00?).

However, if you want to paint the FDIC in a bad light, I guess you could.

I'll be back with more later.

You are comfortable with the Fed being involved in what should be private banking and commerce. I am not.

I do not want the Fed near my money. They are blood sucking vampires that drain the life from the citizenry.
