Re: New from Wisconsin

I lived in Wisconsin from the time I was 6 or 7 years old until I left in the fall of 1956 to attend the Apostolic Bible Institute in St. Paul, MN. I lived in a small town called Union Grove which is about 15 miles inland from Racine. I think it is about 30 miles southwest of Milwaukee.

I was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ on Thursday October 27, 1955 at Elim Tabernacle (UPC) in Milwaukee.

I received the Holy Ghost Baptism on Pentecost Sunday May 20, 1956 at Bethel Tabernacle (UPC) in Racine.

What a small world. I'll be visiting Elim soon. I moved here recently from the Oconomoc area and am in the midst of Church hopping trying to find my new home.

Wink Re: New from Wisconsin

Welcome to AFF.

I've never lived in WI but I have many relatives all through WI on both sides of the family. My mother was born in WI.

In the 50's a group of ministers from the UPC and PAW rented a campgound near Trego, WI and we had CHURCH! Many great memories of those summers at what was termed Bible camp. In fact I was baptized and received the Holy Ghost there in July 1960.
