Bottom Line Organized Sports is a worthless waste of money and talent. Spend time in the Word with your family and stop lining the pockets of talented men that need to get a hold of God.

Being a successfull businessman does the exact samething.

organized sports is not the debble. good grief. for evey Ben Rothlessburger, there are 50 guys like Mark Brunel or Darrin Woodson who are fantastic people that love their families and love God.

Get a grip.

Second, Ben is not married. He is single.

Now, where you and I agree is that he is a dirtbag for having sex in night clubs with drunk chicks. period. end of discussion.

But in all the cases that Goodell has taken action, there has been at the very least an indictmentn.
Goodell has, in the past, taken action before charges or indictments.

I would still say he barely escaped being charged. Lucky for BR, the state of GA sets a high bar for this kind of charge and the district attorney didn't move forward or take DNA evidence. Had it occured in another state, there may well have been charges filed.

Hopefully Ben wises up and learns his lesson, otherwise he may not be a Steeler much longer - from the way the team management was talking.

However, we dont know if it was rape and from all indications it was not.

Just because big Ben isnt a rapist, doesnt mean he isnt a dirtbag.

At least he isnt a dirtbag cheating on his wife.

No, actually we don't know if he was having sex. Ben R says they didn't. And no, we don't know that he's done this before. The Reno situation never made it to the point of charges being filed and it's now a civil matter.

Is it possible that Rothlisberger fooled around with a woman in Reno and was taken advantage because of his wealth and celebrity? I think we, at least, have to consider the possibility. And because of this incident, did an opportunistic young lady in Georgia, where Ben is well known, grabbed the opportunity to capitalize on the Reno incident? I think it's absolutely possible. Just remember the Duke LaCrosse team incident. This girl in Georgia dropped out of school the next day. Hmmm....maybe because she knew a financial windfall would be coming?

So far, we don't know ANYTHING for sure in all this and it's wise to let it all play out, although we'll probably never know the truth.

All that being said, if Ben, or anyone else, did exactly what he is accused of....forcing a drunk girl to have sex with him in a restroom....he should spend the rest of his life in prison.

Re: Worse Than Tiger Woods

If the girl was as drunk as her friend says she was, could the sex be consensual?

If a person chooses to put themselves under control of drugs or alcohol and then kills some one while driving, they cannot plead that they were not responsible because they were not in control. Could that same principle be applied to sex/rape?

Now I don't want to assume or imply anything, namely that NFL Commish Goodell isn't handling this the same as other accusations against black players ... but thus far Roethlisberger has been untouched, even though he barely slipped out of being charged with the latest accusation. And he's still facing a lawsuit with the first accusation.

I hope the dirtbag gets suspended several games, if not by Goodell and the NFL, at least by the Steelers organization. I have several friends who are Steelers fans and they're sick of his off-the-field troubles.

Goodell better use the iron fist with this as he has with other players, otherwise it will do more than just appear that he deals penalties by race.

Source
He is going to discipline him, reports say that he is waiting until after the draft. The Rooney's will suspend him even if the commissioner doesn't, although he will.

But I do agree that the facts point to him taking advantage of her, which is reprehensible. On the first allegation he has counter-sued the other party, don't think he has in this one.

NOW, I suspect the Reno thing was all about some girl trying to cash out. I dont think Ben did anything illegal there.

I suspect the same thing happned this second time.

however both of these require that Ben be doing something that people with some morality dont do. period.

Shame on Ben for being stupid.

I don't believe the girl in the newest accusation has filed a suit or is just after his money. Could be wrong ... will know if she does decide to sue.

And yes, Ben should wise up, clean up and be a little more responsible.

Luckily for him, the DA wasn't like the one who went after the Duke players.

I don't disagree. The "party life" can be a dangerous place and if one plays with it, there can be consequences, especially if one happens to be rich and famous.

how strange is it that we live in a world that is vastly more immoral than it was 50 years ago, but you would have never even heard about such alligations against Babe Ruth who was every bit as immoral as Ben seems to be.

kinda strange.
