I have never gotten to eat at a Fogo de Chao before but if it is as good as the Texas de Brasil in Memphis it will be great!!!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I may be visiting a Church in Tipp City this Sunday at 4:00 pm (probably won't get there). The church is called Upper Room Worship Center. Their web site is http://www.theur.net/Home.html The pastor is Greg Simmons. I knew him 30 years ago from the ALJC when he was young and a youth leader. Now he has grown children and is pastoring a church.
Man I would love to meet with either of you gentlemen. This quizzing thing is sort of unpredictable though. Double elimination might mean 2 matches or 12 matches...

It looks like you are about an hour and a half from Columbus North/Westerville. If I find I have extra time I'll PM you to find out your schedule.

Blessings!

I have always had a great experience at Fogo - tonight was no exception.

I feel sort of indebted to Atlanta bishop for introducing me the the establishment.

Re: Going to Ohio, JBQ Extravaganza?

The church this was held at in Columbus was founded by George Chambers who raised my wife's grandfather the late Stanley Chambers.

My youngest daughter spoke in tongues for the very first time at this quiz! It was sort of extra blessing (no pun intended) knowing there was also a past family connection to this assembly.

How's he doing with this year's material? What position does he quiz in? - I know that there's some strategy involved in that. Being a pastor I'll bet he sits in the third position so he can concentrate on getting the thirty point questions and allows another quizzer to serve as captain.

Just how old is your pastor? This is the Junior Bible Quizzing division.
