Well in any case I thought I would welcome the pharisees, wolves and lords over God's heritage

Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:


  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Everyone preaches against sin, but very few will actually name sin.

Like Jesus, Paul, and many other did!

It's not just the things mentioned but many things just like them.

And today that is exactly what people don't want.

Because the scripture is being fulfilled again which says....

What sin are they not preaching against? Is it spelled out as sin in the Bible, or something men have come up with they call sin. Honestly, just asking the question, not aiming to be ugly. It is just that some on this forum call things sin, that God doesn't name as sin.

Sin to me = breaking any of the ten commandments (Covers a lot of stuff I don't have list. LOL) Then there are things that only God can judge, like are you loving your neighbor as yourself? There are many things that ALL of us do EVERY day that cause us to sin. Pride, selfishness, lying....

Now the last part of that verse would apply to the church I left. Those people have turned unto fables written by men that cause people to look to man made rules instead of God for their salvation.

Could you name some of the "man made up sins"?

Long sleeves on men
Long, uncut hair on women
Some say women need the hair bound to = covering
Dresses or skirts on women
No jewelry, or only watches and wedding rings allowed
Only attend their church
Only belong to their organization
Only believe trinity
Only believe oneness, even though trinnies believe in one God but say it different
Must be baptized using a particular phrase spoken over you, or you go to hell

Oh, I cant remember them all. I could make a looooong list of funny stuff from the church I left, but then the spies would peg me for sure. No other church I know made up so much stuff that would send you to hell. And then even funnier was that what would send you to hell this year might be okay in a couple of years! LOL

I could answer many of these but I think it would do you good to just read your bible.

Here's one verse you must have missed....

(Acts 4:11) This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
(Acts 4:12) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

What makes you think I missed anything? Maybe you should tell me what I missed. All I did was list some of the stuff I remember from the forum here. I believe that Jesus is the way the truth and the life and no man can come to the Father but through His death. THIS is why I don't get where people think if a man wears short sleeves he is going to hell. Who in the world came up with that one?
