In essence Matthews version of the command was to baptize individuals into the name (Jesus) of the God who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
On another note, the name Lord Jesus Christ actually fulfills the Matthew 28:19 commandment.
Lord-Adonani/Jehovah/Father

Keith would you see a link between the Aaronic blessing of Numbers and the command for Christian baptism at Matthew 28? How would you explain that fact that both formulas seem to be summaried in short phrases?

Would youcare to comment on the parallels between the use of the three fold Aaronic blessing formula in Numbers 6 and the three fold baptismal formula at Matthew 28.

Alastair McGarth isn't Yahweh God and whilst his opinions are of importance, they don't hold the same weight as Scripture. The issue is this do you see any relationship between the use of the Aaronic blessing formula of Numbers 6 and Christian baptism ( Matthew 28) as both formula's are referred to later on in Scripture. My first post has proven that there is a definite link.

Please PROVE your claim that Jesus is the father, Son and Holy Spirit as just stating this doesn't constitute any proof.

Acts 2:38. In (epi) ..... Jesus Christ
Acts 8. In (eis) .... Lord Jesus
Acts 10:48. In (en) ..... Lord.
Acts 19. In (eis) …. Lord Jesus.
Please explain why they change.

The preposition changes based on the Greek words they modify. Nothing more, nothing less.
The following Chart illustrates the spatial relationship of some of the most common Greek prepositions.

The constant modifications prove that this cannot be a baptismal formula,a s any formula of words would be fixed and UNCHANGING. The wide differences between Acts 2:38, 8, 10 and 19 not only in wording but also in prepositions prove that Onoma (name) implies the authority for baptism in each of these 4 pre-baptismal passages.
