Your logic is the EXACT same logic used to explain the beginnings of last year's "Town Hall" charades. Explain the rationale in bringing your hunting rifle to a Town Hall meeting to discuss Healthcare Reform?

Of course it was a GREAT MOVE. It's your guy.

His defending the lady was definitely something any of us would feel to do, but I agree with TStew, that if you are running to be the Governor of one of the largest states, you may want to have the opportunity to fend for yourself, and not give off this "i'm a weak little girl who needs a man to step in for me" vibe -- whether or not it's true. Let's be real. Meg Whitman is a sleuth. But it's how it looked. So from a campaign manager perspective, I'm sure they are looking at that differently.

But of course there remains not an ounce of objectivity....
