Re: Poison. How Do You Get Yours?
I don't drink much coffee any more. For years I was addicted to caffeine. I had to have coffee early in the morning or I would have a headache which would last all day. Every so often I would quit coffee and after a few days of headaches I would be free but I'd soon go back to it. In 1995 when I had my bypass surgery, I was served only decaf in the hospital. So, since by the time I was released from the hospital since I had already gone through the caffeine withdrawal and since at that time cardiologists told heart patients not to drink caffeine, I have not drunk regular coffee since. Nor have I drunk tea with caffeine or any soft drinks with caffeine. I still loved my decaf and especially Starbucks decaf. We drank that every day at home for years. Then some time last year I was on some kind of medication (I think it was the combination of prednisone and the medication to suppress my immune system) coffee began to nauseate me so I quit. I have been able to drink decaffeinated coffee now and then but it is pretty rare.
