Re: Did Jesus literally rise from the dead?

The proof of Jesus resurrection is the same as it was in scripture. He showed himself alive by infallible proofs. When I repented and began to love Gods word and seek his face He revealed himself to me. Answered prayers, being led by his Spirit. Tongues and prophecy that came to pass. All this before I ever went to Church.

Its been enough for me. It continued to happen. Decade after decade after decade. Jesus is alive. The Bible is a supernatural book.

If Christ is not risen from the dead, NO ONE IS SAVED.

1Co 15:14-17 KJV And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. (15) Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. (16) For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: (17) And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

Amen. Blessed are those who have not seen, and yet have believed.

Re: Did Jesus literally rise from the dead?

Jesus rose from His grave, and was seen many days after His passion, and was proven to be alive after many infallible proofs (no matter what the Pope does not have that ). He was seen of many, who were still living in the days that Paul wrote his letters to the churches. Let none say, "His disciples have stolen His body." If there is ever one miracle that has been conclusively proven to be true, it is the miracle that Jesus was crucified, and after three days rose from His grave to live.

This about sums it up for me too, Pel. It distills down to faith.

Re: Did Jesus literally rise from the dead?

I think we have enough "empirical" sermon content from the apostle Paul in the book of Acts that he preached the resurrection through the (risen) Jesus.

Re: Did Jesus literally rise from the dead?

Paul met the RISEN Christ, face to face on the Damascus Road. No Wonder he preached a resurrection through Jesus so ardently!
