Quite to the contrary....
It was king Solomon, the man of whom God said that he would become the wisest of all the kings of Israel, who was inspired to write AFTER he had expended considerable time and effort in the acquisition of the truth of things (God did not simply fill his young mind instantly with such knowledge, you know, but gave him the privilege of attaining it if he would only apply himself to the search thereof):
"And I gave my heart to know wisdom, and to know maddness and folly: I perceived that this also is vexation of spirit. For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow." (
Ecclesiastes 1:17-18)
The longer that God grants me to live, and the more knowledge which He allows me to acquire concerning the innermost "mysteries" of the manner in which He does things, the greater my grief and sorrow has become; albeit I also am persuaded to believe that
"...wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it" (
Ecclesiastes 7:12), therefore I must continue always to remain the student, seeking daily to
"...grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. To him be glory now and for ever. Amen." (
II Peter 3:18)
No, my friend, I've not yet attained
"perfection," but must not waiver in the pursuit thereof, all the while being confident of those sacred truths which He has given to me to possess and exercise.
