To falsify, deceive, or defraud.

Re: Question about "speaking in tongues"
Just remember this one thing; The devil is not going to give your anything that causes your to glorify Jesus, and anything that brings you closer to Him.No matter what anyone says, even if it were crawling around in a mud hole, if it is bringing glory to the name of Jesus then glorify Jesus in it...,
The tongues which was spoken on the day of Pentecost were different from the ones which Paul is speaking concerning our prayer life. He is just trying to stop the miss use of the gift and direct it to it's proper destination in a personal Christian's life..
Satan hates the gift, and has always attempted to discourage people from either receiving it or practicing it. He, the devil, would rather see you hanging around some not so committed Christians drinking beer and watching the ball game, then, you would not be any threat to him of his worldly kingdom of idiots.

My question is, what in the world is that?

You ask a question that I have never heard posed before, and when I stopped to think of tongues I have heard, and even speak myself, you are right, they do seem to end in a vowel sound. Not sure the meaning of this, or if there is a meaning to it, I don't know. Interesting question to be sure.
I believe you can speak in tongues at any time after receiving the gift. Pentecostals, IMO, put too much emphasis on the tongues, instead of the fruit of the spirit. I have seen people speak in tongues without even praying or repenting or anything, and continue to have unrepented sin in their lives.
I don't think we should judge one's salvation merely on the fact of speaking in tongues, but those tongues should be accompanied by the fruits of the spirit.

(If you run into a baptist on this forum he would tell you it's from the devil. That's what happened to me when I started to speak in tongues......of course I left that baptist church.)

Well... If this is how we want to answer questions here we can all click that little red box in the upper right corner and go play outside..

I also believe that tongues are hugely over emphasized in the Pentecostal church. They are often considered a mark of spirituality when there is nothing spiritual going on. Our desire to 'pray someone through' and the struggling saint or backslider's desire to be left in peace at the altar can bring on some quick tongue talkin'- I've seen it many times.
I think it's better to leave a struggling saint to pray a while in the alter, or to try a very gentle approach, rather than mob them.
I find the blabbering into a microphone almost as annoying as the preacher who sticks the mic in the face of someone who is praying or seeking... Everything done for show becomes nothing to God, IMO.
But to answer your original question. Yes I've noticed the mostly all vowel endings and I do it myself

Which pentecostal church are you talking about?
There are "haywire" pentecostal churches out there.

Except for a few visits to the AoG all my experience has been in the UPCI where things can get really rediculously out of control...
Have you ever seen the dueling tongues video... Now that is just bizzare.

Just for the record, would you mind explaining why this is bizzare?
After all God DID talk through a monkey.

... a donkey...
Tongues is described in the bible as a prayer language when we do not know for what we pray or as a gift to edify the group of called out ones in which case it is followed by interpertation.
Which of those do you see here?
This using tongues to edify or exalt self is exactly what Paul cautioned against in 1Cor.
