It does not bother me. I do it and I would not sit AT the bar.

However even restaurants that don't have bars often serve alcoholic drinks

Honky tonk, is that a bar & grill? I wouldnt eat there either. I hear they have good burgers, all that grease must go good with beer.

Here in the south a honky tonk is a term for a dive you see.
