I must admit I love my Facebook. I don't usually see much drama on mine. I try to create some, people just laugh.

In order to gain access to comments a 12-year old student allegedly made on Facebook, a school in Minnewaska, Minnesota ordered the student to reveal her username and password for the social networking site. The American Civil Liberties Union filed suit on behalf of the student against the Minnewaska Area Schools and Pope County, claiming administrators “violated a middle school student’s constitutional rights in two incidents involving Facebook.”
Facebook comments in question include comments that a school hall monitor had been “mean” to the 12-year old, known as R.S. and that the student “hated” the hall monitor. After discovering the comments, staff at the Minnewaska Middle School issued detention and told the student to apologize. The school principal claimed the comments constituted bullying.
A second incident occurred when another student’s mother claimed her son and R.S. used computers to talk about sex. To investigate the complaint the school “forced R.S. to give them login information to her Facebook and email accounts,” according to a statement on the ACLU website. The sheriff’s deputy was present at the time, though no warrant was issued.

We don't have facebook in our family at all.... there is enough drama in my extended family without adding facebook to the mix... and plus... there are some on there who have to tell the whole world every time they brush their teeth, take a shower, or eat chocolate.... crazy!

Bottom line for me with social media: If I can't/won't say it to the person's face, I have no business typing it from a computer. For the girl who said what she supposedly said, it sounds like a hard lesson learned as unfortunate as it may be...
Speaking of Facebook with regard to privacy/drama concerns...
As for my wall, no one can write on it; I've disabled that feature. Either send me a private message or respond, on topic, to a post I've made.
As for pictures, I only have a few, not an entire life's worth. When I "tweet" them from Twitter, they are posted to my wall. Unless one has a Twitter account and we follow one another, the picture can't be viewed in its full size (so I've learned recently).
One more thing: the LESS info one puts in each field (i.e. high school & year of graduation, college & year of graduation, employer(s), phone number, hometown, current city, etc), the less info someone else has to be able to search you...
