One day, you may look up and see my feet dancing under the moving of the Holy Spirit and if that means my head is bobbling all over the place, you can videotape me and put it online for others to gawk at if you want to.

It will not deter my praise.

Re: Has She Got It?

I remember the first time I saw my room mate dance in the Spirit.

It was the funniest thing I ever saw at that time.

Then during one service my feet started to move and I thought I was going to trip over my own legs if I did not yield to the Spirit. I'm sure I was the funniest sight to another person there.

I would be hard pressed to say.

I am pretty sure that I did a dance much like this when the Holy Ghost blesses me. I've had my share of people laughing good-naturedly at my actions during my blessings.
I was not offended by your statement. While I do not approve of making a mockery of the things of God, I do not take issue with deriding one who makes a mockery of the things of God by intention, which was this person's issue.

I don't know the genuineness of what is in the video, don't know the circumstances, and don't know what's in her heart but to show the video, ask the question, and then just leave the door open for jokes and ridicule is dangerous ground in my book..... and not sure how it keeps in line with Philippians 4:8.
I must agree with you on this. The post was done to make a mockery of the worship. I detest those who post such things on edit this trash and post it on youtube. I would prefer to see more than a 2 second video on endless loop. It nearly makes me ill to just watch it.

I found myself caught on video one year during a campmeeting. In the clip, I was the only once in the front dancing. I will admit that I looked rather ridiculous. However, I have not stopped dancing and shouting.

It is only strange and unusual to those who are not their, nor are a part of us. I have seen men and ladies dance and shout, and it could be amusing sometimes. I am very careful to never call anyone a fake that I see via video only. I am not afraid to make such a judgment when I have been around the individual.

A movement which prides itself so much on spiritual gifts yet is almost totally void of any discernment and no one seems to be able to discern the difference between the Spirit of God and demonic possesion or human emotionalism and frenzy. (Insert BORAT reference here). The fact that one of the fruits of the Spirit is self control and that God's Spirit always works in such a way that everything is done in decency and order rarely are considered in such a discussion as this.
