Our lawyers have it now for review.
The Medicaid ruling makes it complicated for this to be enforced.

One more, it looks as though the SCOTUS made several "assumptions" here.
Even though it was not called a tax, it is a tax.
Also, even though the argument was Congress had the power under the Commerce provision, the SCOTUS says that they do not.
It's almost like SCOTUS saying that Congress goofed this up and we are not going to fix it for them.
Strange all the way around.

yes it is. I heard yesterday that the Congress put a clause in it that it could not be broken up in part, that it either ALL is passed or All is rejected. Seems to me that SC just does it own thing.

Someone must have got to Roberts. He was supposed to be conservative. He was the swing vote that passed this unlawful tax!

to have them say it was a tax when barck clearly said it was a penalty is beyond belief.time for sweeping change in congress this fall and repeal.

Actually Roberts is the republican nominated who should have voted conservative. The swing vote judge voted against it. Go figure.

Now, I'll probably get "stoned" for this view, but folks, has anyone read the book of Isaiah or Jeremiah, or even Dueteronomy where God's commandments, and laws are laid out for the children of Israel to follow? As long as they served and loved God, their battles were fought and won by the Lord himself. But when they turned their back on Him, judgment came in many different forms, until the people cried out in their distress to the Lord.

I am not one to bring up crazy prophecies, ideas, and so on. I want to stand on the Word, and the Word alone. However, I believe the Word is clear on this type of situation. Without true heartfelt repentance from this nation as a whole, the judgment of God is no doubt upon us, and this may or may not have anything to do with the "endtimes".... but just the fact that our nation has elected a leader who wants nothing to do with the principles set forth in the Word. We are reaping from the seeds that have been sown for many years.

I believe this is just the beginning of sorrows for our nation, but one scripture gives me comfort in Isaiah 26:20-21 "Come my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For behold the Lord cometh out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain."

While great judgment and terror is prophesied throughout scripture, there is hope for those who hear HIS voice, and I believe there will be a place for those who hear His voice to hide until the indignation be overpast.

My hope is not in Obama, Romney, or any other manmade entity.... My HOPE IS IN CHRIST ALONE.

The days ahead are no doubt gonna be filled with more of the same horror as we feel in our hearts today about the direction this country is taking, but we must keep our faith in CHRIST alone, and not in a manmade system.

I am disheartened and so mad I want to scream things I shouldn't say as a Christian.

These idiots just made the decision that basically it is illegal to tell us Americans we have to buy anything, but that it is perfectly legal to tax us as a penalty if we don't buy what the Fed wants us to buy. And how will America take this? Lying down as usual.

This sort of garbage ought to result in the same kind of revolts as were seen in France and Egypt. Maybe violent revolution really is the ONLY thing that DC will ever be changed by.
