Re: Grade Your Theological Worldview

I wonder which of my views are emergent?

You Scored as Evangelical Holiness/WesleyanYou are an evangelical in the Wesleyan tradition. You believe that God's grace enables you to choose to believe in him, even though you yourself are totally depraved. The gift of the Holy Spirit gives you assurance of your salvation, and he also enables you to live the life of obedience to which God has called us. You are influenced heavly by John Wesley and the Methodists.

79% Emergent/Postmodern
68% Reformed Evangelical
57% Charismatic/Pentecostal
54% Modern Liberal
54% Classical Liberal
54% Neo orthodox

I think we both have open and inquisitive minds, while still remaining grounded in our Apostolic beliefs.

I attended a hard core UC church for 13 years, while obtaining a English/Humanties degree from Rollins College.

Having to hold opposing worldviews in a sort of balance/tension with each other, and being exposed to so many different ideas, has given me a curiousity about the world without fear of learning about other view points. It's also taught me to glean from other sources what can be applied to my faith without detracting from it.

And I believe you have the same mind set.
